As a follow-up to my last Six Sentence Sunday submittal, I am posting another six sentences from my book, Stepmothers Anonymous. The selection below follows the dance where Abbey meets Bradley. She has spent her weekend dreaming about him, and never imagined she would see him again socially, much less at work that Monday.
Six Sentence Sunday is a blogging experience where participants post six sentences from something they’re working on or something they’ve published. You can visit their site to check out the other participants or to join in the fun.

“Thank you for going through all this trouble to get these back to me.”
“You’re welcome,” he said, with a chivalrous bow of his head. “I also wanted to say, I really enjoyed Friday night and would like to see you again.”
Oooooh… very nice! Is this a modern take on fairy tales? I love those, when they’re well done, and yours seems to be. Look forward to more!
Thank you! It is a modern take, focusing specifically on the “wicked stepmother”. Stay tuned…
