Six Sentence Sunday

As a follow-up to my last Six Sentence Sunday submittal, I am posting another six sentences from my book, Stepmothers Anonymous. The selection below follows the dance where Abbey meets Bradley. She has spent her weekend dreaming about him, and never imagined she would see him again socially, much less at work that Monday.

My shoes. I blushed, finding it difficult to make eye contact with him.

Thank you for going through all this trouble to get these back to me.”

You’re welcome,” he said, with a chivalrous bow of his head. “I also wanted to say, I really enjoyed Friday night and would like to see you again.”
