Six Sentence Sunday

Happy Sunday! My offering today comes from my work-in-progress, Your Neighbor’s Love. Last week, David walked into an argument between his neighbors. This week, after learning the girlfriend, Leti, has been been kicked out, he chivalrously offers her a place to stay for the night.

He shut the door and turned to her. He could see the uncertainty in her eyes and suddenly felt the weight of his decision bearing down on him. Should he say something comforting to make her feel better? Remind her there were still men out there who knew how to treat women? Offer advice on her situation?

God, he was really bad at this Good Samaritan stuff.
