Greetings. I hope everyone had a good holiday. It’s time again for another edition of Six Sentence Sunday. My post this week comes from my work-in-progress, Ruth and Boaz, a retelling of the Biblical tale. Regarded as perhaps the greatest show of platonic love, Ruth leaves her home to follow her mother-in-law Naomi back to Israel, where she finds love with Boaz. In today’s selection, Ruth’s reputation precedes her. Let me know what you think of today’s excerpt; I appreciate your comments and thank you for stopping by my blog.

Boaz finds himself daydreaming at the mention of her name. He knew he was acting like young boy enchanted by an older nursemaid, but he couldn’t help it: there was just something about Ruth that was different.
Or so he heard. He had not met her yet, but with a town as small as Bethlehem, it was just a matter of time.
Eleazar clears his throat, calling Boaz’s attention back to him. The older man shrugs off his thoughts, willing himself to put Ruth out of his mind…for now.
This is nice – gentle, but it’s clear he’s feeling a touch of glamour about her.
Thanks Elin.
But we know Ruth isn’t going to be far from his mind! Enjoyed this excerpt, interesting to be in Boaz’s POV.
Thanks. I am finding I am loving his POV more as I write more.
He certainly has been hit hard, a lovely flowing six.
Thanks for the comments and for stopping by my blog.
