Oftentimes, we don’t know what to do or say to others going through emotional pain, especially when we think the person might be suicidal. Here are 5 steps you can take to help out and possibly save a life.

If you or someone you know is struggling with depression or mental stress, text ‘Start’ to the Crisis Text Line at 741-741. It’s free, confidential; and someone is available to talk to you 24/7. You can visit their website www.crisistextline.org for more information.

You can also call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (800-273-8255).

Or you can contact the National Alliance on Mental Illness (800-950-6264) for support and local referrals.

You can also go to Mental Health America to find a support group in your area.

  1. I know what you are talking about. Iv been in a psychiatrie for 10 months. It happened 5 years ago back the. I had the strong thoughts that the woman of my life call Roxane got intimidated by some poeple. Everybody never beleive me and i i even think that my whole familly was in danger….i took sustena invega for 3 years and to be honest it didnt help that much. The only thing who made me feel better? Was telling everyone about this fear. And then i could realize that what i was saying wasnt making sens at all… So i kept saying it for long time around me….. And my mental health is weak. And i might starting back saying it…. But im good now i understand; its a mental issues and i live very good with it. Very good info btw. Keep going im not sure you realize the good work you are doing all by yoursel
